L'ONU ha alertat avui de la presència d'un bot a la deriva al Mediterrani amb 95 migrants a bord, procedents de Líbia, que tenen la intenció d'arribar a algun port europeu segur. L'organització ha reiterat a xarxes que l'obligació moral i legal que tenen els Estats i capitans de respondre a les peticions de socors al mar.

Around 95 migrants are still floating in the Central Mediterranean at risk of drowning, after attempting to flee Libya.

Ara mateix, només hi ha un vaixell d'organitzacions internacionals que pugui dur a terme aquest rescat, ja que la resta estan ancorats a port sense permís per a navegar.

Diverses ONG han advertit en repetides ocasions que els rescats per part de patrulleres líbies donades per la Unió Europea dirigides per antics traficants de persones no són una solució, ja que Líbia no és un "port segur".
